One person is dead after a multi-vehicle crash in south Minneapolis on Wednesday morning.
At around 9:45 a.m., Minneapolis police officers responded to East Lake Street and Fourth Avenue South for a crash involving multiple vehicles and a building.
Police say that one car hit another before crashing into the building. The second car then struck a third vehicle after hitting the first, authorities added.
The man driving the initial striking vehicle was declared dead at the scene. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will confirm his identity at a later time.
Law enforcement said the driver of the second vehicle was brought to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
No additional injuries were reported from people in other vehicles or in the building.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the crash.
